STUPID MOVIES WE ALL WATCHED
This series is just written on a lighter note to remind you of some incredibly stupid movies we used to watch back in 90s and early 2000s. And the first one is legendary movie SIRF TUM
This movie was the stupidest one ever but still I watched it quite in tafseel back then. Another amazing fact is that this idiotic movie was a commercial success
Deepak (Sanjay Kapoor) found a lady’s bag in a local train while traveling. The bag belonged to Aarti (Priya Gill) and had her documents, certificates, domicile etc I guess.
Deepak sent it back to her via post and this started their letter friendship. There was no internet those days.
Also keep in mind my friends don’t reply me in group chats and she started talking to him just because he returned her bag.
Then the most absurd thing happened. Deepak and Aarti fell in love on letters. Deepak was so desperate that he fell for Aarti without even checking the shipment. The 35 year old virgin I guess.
There was a song “Pehli Pehi Baar Mohabbat ki hai”. That was a lame song but Deepak asked for nudes saying “Apni ik tasveer lifafay mein rakh kar bhijwa do”. Aarti politely refused “Main khud milnay aaungi kuch din dil ko samjha do”.
Aarti made a sweater for deepak with a “DEEPAK” made on its chest. My girlfriend won’t even buy me a burger.
Meanwhile Deepak’s boss Neha fell in love with him and tried to woo him with the legendary song “Dilbar Dilbar Dilbar Haan Dilbar Dilbar”
This song was a big hit at that time and you may occasionally catch this song if you are traveling in W18, D7, G7 etc.
But Deepak rejected her. If someone that hot fell for me I would even ask my existing girlfriend to let me go.
The harassment issues were not so highlighted those days or someone would have advised Deepak to sue Neha. Anyway things were quite awkward now so Deepak resigned and started driving a rickshaw. Another rickshaw driver Jackie Shroff became his best friend.
Aarti came to Delhi looking for Deepak and here is the haseen ittefaq. She used Deepak’s rickshaw to travel around city. They casually talked but not once she said that she is looking for a guy named Deepak. Wait wait wait I forgot to tell you the most important thing. Deepak was wearing the same sweater inside his rickshaw driver uniform throughout the travel.
Anyway not gonna drag it anymore Aarti called off the search and went to station to leave where Deepak took off his shirt due to rain and Aarti saw the sweater. She rushed to him and they hugged. The end
Sorry for the long post. Here’s the song Dilbar Dilbar for no reason
