Clazona is a Pakistani cosmetic brand that has recently began to flourish throughout the country. Specifically, their liquid lipsticks have brought up a storm in every Desi household with a young teenage girl. Their products also include nail polishes, blush palettes, paint sticks as well as face powders. This review however is particularly about their smooth and easy-to-wear matte liquid lipsticks.
It is very rare to find a local brand at the same level as a high-end foreign makeup brand. Nevertheless Clazona exceeds all other Pakistani brands by acquiring products that are able to compete with makeup companies from outside of Pakistan. An example is Colourpop which is a brand wildly famous around the world for its liquid lipsticks. Clazona’s liquid lipsticks are an impressive opponent to Colourpop’s liquid lipsticks as they are much smoother in comparison and a lot more affordable as well. (Colourpop’s lipsticks cost around Rs.950 atleast whereas Clazona’s liquid lipsticks retail at Rs.150).
Clazona claims their liquid lipstick as 24 hour long lasting and those claims are more than true as the formula does endure wear and tear throughout the day but is still difficult to remove at the end of the day. This lipstick is extremely matte and waterproof which means it does not transfer to a glass while drinking or even to a spoon while eating.
About The Lipstick:
Although the containers for the lipsticks are small, they could easily last six months. They provide an excellent and full coverage all over the lips and after application, they do not dry the lips out in the least. The liquid lipstick applicator is the perfect size to wear the colour effortlessly.
There are over 30+ shades of these 24 hour long lasting matte liquid lipsticks. The shades range from browns to pinks to oranges to reds to purples to plum colours. Thus proving that they have a variety of colours that could suit every skin tone. The overall packaging is good enough as the price is quite low. The pigmentation of the lipstick is another reason why it is highly favoured amongst Pakistanis as you just need one dip into the formula to completely cover the entire lip. It remains wet for the first few seconds which makes it more convenient to smear on and then fix.
Let’s talk about the pros and cons for this too-good-to-be-true matte liquid lipstick.

- It is ultra-pigmented

- The ingredients are unidentified ( It has been reported that cheap liquid lipsticks may contain traces of lead and/or mercury but this has not been proved)
- It can be difficult to remove
- Small containers
- Long-term use of this product may lead to darkening of the lips
- Does not have a sweet scented fragrance

- A few of the shades’ colour is changeable if a dark coloured drink is consumed while wearing it.
Clazona Vs High End Makeup Brands:
Clazona’s liquid lipsticks are gaining fame in the hearts of many Pakistanis as many of their shades are dupes for high-end foreign makeup brands.
Clazona 504 which is a light nude brown is a great dupe for Kylie Jenner’s Candy K and NYX soft matte cream in Abu Dhabi. Clazona 508,a bright cherry pink shade, is a great dupe for Huda Beauty’s Video Star and Colourpop’s Donut. Clazona 509 which is dark brown is a great dupe for Kylie Jenner’s Dolce K and Colourpop’s Beeper. Clazona 520 a light pink-y colour is a great dupe for Kylie Jenner’s Koko K and Namaste by Tarte. Clazona 525 which is a bright red is a great dupe for Kylie Jenner’s Mary Jo K and Mac’s Ruby Woo. Clazona 530 which is a plum colour is a great dupe for Tarte’s Hangry and Colourpop’s Bad Habit.
Thus all in all Clazona has done a tremendous job on this product. Kudos to them for coming up with such a successful formula and doing something that has never been done before in this country. The girls of Pakistan truly appreciate the presence of such a brand and hope that other Pakistani cosmetic brands also step up their game in the makeup department. Makeup is a booming industry and therefore it would be beneficial for both the consumer and the company if our country’s makeup production started to grow and compete with international brands.
