STUPID TREND WE FOLLOWED
We have all had our share of daag-daar maazi. We all followed some really stupid trend when we were young. To be really honest with you I still follow stupidity sometimes. Here we are gonna discuss some stupid trends we followed back then
1 – Dhoom Hair
John rose to success from his movie Dhoom and his hair style was the thing copied by a thousands of young individuals. My school was full of guys being punished because they stopped cutting their hair after watching Dhoom.
2 – Bi colored shirts of John Abraham
John Abraham’s shirts got their fame from the flop movie “Lakeer”. Even I bought a shirt of that type but my sleeves were of aqua color and body was of yellow and girls laughed at me saying “Ice Cream Man” so I can’t say I am proud of following that trend.
3 – Tere Naam Hair
This was not acceptable even that time. Still the lafangay type hair style of Salman Khan was copied by a lot of people. Even I tried this look but I looked like a charas addict bhangi so my mom beat the shit out of me and made me cut my hair.
4 – Ansh Gujral Hair
Ansh Gujral was the son of Tulsi and we have already discussed a lot about him in a previous piece
Anyway when I tried this style I was beaten by principal in school. End of Ansh style.
5 – Salman Khan’s Bracelet
Sallu Bhai was indeed a trend setter and his hair were not the only thing to get fame from TERE NAAM. Salman Khan was first seen wearing this bracelet in Tere Naam and then in Mujhse Shadi Karogi and it instantly became a style. The cheap replicas made of steel and plastic stone were available on stalls and nearby shops. I still remember my friend Tabish literally shaved his arms as his hair used to be a problem for this bracelet. Later he looked like a grizzly bear when the hair came back.
6 – SRK’s Sweater of Main Hoon na
At least this was a nice trend. People tried wearing this sweater with decent haircut and actually looked nice. But good things don’t last for long and it was gone.
7 – Prem from Kasauti Zindagi Ki
Prem was once discussed by us in a previous piece.
Not gonna discuss him further but this bone marrow reasoned baby started an awful trend of pierced eyebrows and I saw a few maila guys following him. Thank God i was not the one who followed (also thanks to my parents who slapped me when I talked about piercing my eyebrows).
8 – SARREE OF KUMKUM
Guys were not the only ones to follow the trends. Women fell in love with the sarrees of Kumkum.
9 – Baali of Kashish
10 – Ajay Devgan’s puff
Ajay Devgan[‘s hair style was trending back in 90s. Did’t look bad if followed.
Maybe I missed a few points or trends so please inform us what I missed and I will add them. Byee
